Stay Connected with MyChart Bedside at Covenant HealthCare
During your hospital stay, MyChart Bedside gives you easy access to your health information, lets you view your care schedule, attend video visits, order meals, and more, all from the comfort of your room.
If you already have a Covenant HealthCare MyChart account, you can access MyChart Bedside through the MyChart app on your personal device.
Don’t have a MyChart account? No problem. You can borrow a hospital-provided tablet, free of charge, preloaded with the MyChart Bedside app. For security, these tablets stay in the patient’s room and won’t function outside the hospital. Once your stay is complete, all information on the tablet is securely erased.

What is MyChart Bedside?
MyChart Bedside is an application you and your family can use to be more involved with your care team while you are in the hospital. When you have a MyChart account, you can access MyChart Bedside on your own device by logging in to the MyChart mobile app. You might also access Bedside on a tablet provided by Covenant for your use during your hospital stay.
MyChart Bedside Key Features
Schedule – View your schedule of upcoming events, like medication administrations and imaging appointments. Tap an event to learn more about it.
Care Team – Get to know more about your care team in the Care Team section. Tap a care team member’s name to view their photo and role.
Requests – Make non-urgent requests during your stay, such as a snack or a fresh set of sheets.
Let’s Eat – Order food and beverage items for breakfast, lunch, and supper. The mealtimes in the app reflect when the kitchen is currently open for meals. If you have a special diet order, it will be reflected in the app.
Order Meals
With Let's Eat, you can easily select meals that follow the diet ordered by the patient’s physician. Here's how it works:
- Tap Let's Eat on your device.
- Select the mealtime you'd like to order for:
- A green dot indicates the current mealtime.
- You can also order upcoming meals today or tomorrow.
Choosing Your Meal
- Available entrées will be listed automatically.
- Tap "Categories" in the top right to browse additional options like drinks, sides, and condiments.
- The menu is customized to show only items that meet the patient’s dietary needs and allergy restrictions.
Reviewing & Scheduling
- Tap "Order Summary" once you’ve made your selections.
- On the summary screen:
- Choose your preferred meal delivery time.
- To remove an item, use the dropdown menu and change the quantity to 0.
- Tap "Schedule Order", then confirm by tapping "Schedule" on the pop-up.
Meal Delivery
- The meal will be delivered directly to the patient’s room at the scheduled mealtime.
Questionnaires – A questionnaire is a series of questions about you or your health. If your care team assigns you a questionnaire to complete during your stay, the Questionnaires activity will appear with a red dot.
My Documents – If you have documents you need to sign, such as consent forms, they will appear in this section. Once they are signed, they will appear in your chart.
Notes – When someone involved in your care writes a note, it will appear in this section. To see the details, tap the sticky note icon on the note you want to review. You can also add your own notes, like a to-do list or reminder.
Test Results – In Test Results, you can view up-to-date health information at a glance. Tap a lab result to see additional information and historical values.
Education – Review any education that a member of the patient's care team has assigned to you. You might see general information about a diagnosis, tips for managing your diagnosis on your own, or information about medications you're prescribed.
Friends & Family Updates – Connect with your loved ones with the Friends & Family Updates feature. This activity gives you a convenient way to share your medical information during a time when others are often looking for updates. You and others you have granted access to your MyChart can react and comment on these posted updates.

No. You can use a hospital-issued tablet to access MyChart Bedside. If you already have a Covenant MyChart account, you can also view MyChart Bedside information through the MyChart app on your personal device. Your care team can also set up MyChart Bedside from a personal tablet brought from home.
MyChart Bedside is available exclusively to patients and their designated proxies during an inpatient hospital stay or Emergency department visit.
A proxy is a trusted family member or caregiver who has legal permission and has been approved by the hospital to see the patient's health information.
MyChart Bedside lets you see real-time updates during your hospital stay. It can only be used while you're admitted as a patient or during an emergency department visit.
Outpatient records are available in MyChart and can be accessed at any time.
Patients with a Covenant MyChart account can access MyChart Bedside through the MyChart app on their personal device.
Information in MyChart Bedside is only accessible during your hospital stay. After discharge, it is no longer available through MyChart Bedside. Details from your stay will transfer to your regular MyChart account. Your health information remains private and can only be viewed by authorized individuals, like verified proxies.
No, there is no fee to use MyChart Bedside. You can use MyChart Bedside for free during your hospital stay – on your own device or a hospital tablet.
