Located in the pediatric unit at Covenant HealthCare, the Ronald McDonald Family Room® offers a warm, supportive space for families to rest and recharge, just steps from their child’s bedside. Featuring amenities like kitchens, sleeping areas, and lounges, it allows families to stay close while preserving a sense of normalcy throughout their child’s hospitalization. By lightening the challenges of prolonged hospital stays, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms® enable families to focus on their child’s recovery and well-being.

Ronald McDonald Family Room® at Covenant HealthCare Highlights:
- Ronald McDonald House Charities Mid-Michigan services and support for families are provided at no cost for families.
- The space provides patients’ families with a place to take a break, have a snack, and freshen up just steps from the child’s bedside.
- The Ronald McDonald Family Room® provides three private rooms with beds, two wellness rooms providing privacy to family members, two bathrooms equipped with showers, a pantry, and a kitchenette.
- A full-time staff member will be on-site to provide compassion and support when families visit the Family Room as they navigate their child’s medical journey.
- The Ronald McDonald Family Room® is made possible by a generous investment in support from Ronald McDonald House Charities Mid-Michigan, Covenant Healthcare Foundation, Frankenmuth Auto Fest, and William F. McNally Family Foundation.

Donations
You can make a meaningful difference by donating single-serve food items, travel-sized toiletries, and other comfort essentials that help meet the needs of families with a child in the hospital. These simple items go a long way in providing comfort, convenience, and a sense of normalcy.
Volunteers
Volunteers at the Ronald McDonald Family Room® at Covenant HealthCare play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for families. They assist with various tasks, such as greeting and checking in families, keeping the facilities clean and organized, and ensure supplies are stocked. Their presence and dedication help ensure that the Family Room remains a comforting and well-maintained space, allowing families to focus on their child's care and recovery.
We interview, screen, and onboard all volunteers to ensure safety and that there is a good fit for the position.
